Citizens Against Lawsuit Abuse Houston (CALA) is funded by the private donations of business operators, doctors and consumers. Most of our funds are raised locally. An independent certified public audit is conducted annually. We are registered with the City of Houston as a charitable organization and meet the Better Business Bureau's "Guide for Giving".

A nine-member board of trustees establishes policy issues. The Houston CALA numbers more than 7,600 supporters and operates on a modest $250,000 annual budget.
