CALA Slingshots : Gun Maker Lawsuits
Outlandish and Ill Suited

The age of big government may be over, but the era of regulation through litigation continues bigger than ever. The latest target of this "sue you" ethic is gun makers.

What is the next lawful product to be demonized for litigation: automobiles? alcohol? red meat? ice cream?

Here is the key point that is being missed in the gun maker lawsuit debate: Manufacturers, remote from the sale of their product, are being told that they are somehow liable for the misuse of their product. That is bad public policy.

Holding gun makers responsible for the actions of outlaws is outlandish.
